Are car warranties worthwhile and why do people buy them?
Can you please explain why car warranties are bought and whether they are worth while. If they are necessary can you recommend a reliable company?

People buy them as an insurance against having to pay big repair bills. Cover can vary according to age of vehicle, mileage of vehicle, underwriting risk of problems with that particular vehicle and price paid for the policy.
