2.2 i-CTDi Executive 4 X 4

Very smooth, fast and so very comfortable.

Purchased a silver Honda 2005 2.2 diesel 2WD manual in 2013. It was nice and clean, unmarked inside and out and cheap at 2.3k. Great to drive, really drove like a new car it had about 120k miles on it. After a few weeks I thought I will keep this for a good number of years years. So I spent a bit money on it, changed (expensive oil) and all filters. After a few days I noticed a slight chain rattle on the bottom of the engine.Well not to worry I thought Honda,s are bullet proof. About a week later whilst towing a small caravan up the motorway I lost all engine power. A chain at the bottom of the engine which drove the oil circulation pump had snapped and put a hole in the bottom of the engine the car was scrapped. This chain and the timing chain can snap on Honda diesels especially when the oil changes are neglected.
So if you are looking at a diesel Honda and hear a rattly noise walk away. I learnt the hard way.
