MINI Countryman Cooper S advice

I am considering buying a new MINI Countryman Cooper S. Am I better off buying the 18-inch or 17-inch wheels? Is there anything else I should consider?

For comfort, 17-inch wheels. If you like spending money on tyres, broken wheel rims and osteopaths, go for the 18s.
