Should I avoid Suzuki's SX4 due to its lack of Electronic Stability Control?

I had thoughts of getting a Suzuki SX4 and in a recent article you spoke well of it. However in a recent 'Which' motoring survey earlier this year the vehicle was not recommended due to non-availability of Electronic Stability Control (ESC). I would be very grateful if you could let me have your thoughts on this.

Which? seems to be dogmatic about ESC, but in my experience it's just another component that can and does fail safely (as it did on millions of cars recently) and, if it malfunctions, it can even kill you. So don't dismiss a car just because it doesn't have ESC.
