Best used small hatchback for £5000?

I am looking to buy a smallish hatchback with a budget of £5,000. So far it seems Hyundai i10 and Ford Fiesta are good picks. What would you recommend? It is to replaced my Mazda MX-5 MK2 so something reliable but fun to drive would be ideal.

A Mazda 2 1.3 TS2 is more fun to drive than an i10 or basic Fiesta 1.25 or 1.4.
