Mis-sold an Audi A4 TDI with an engine remap

I have just bought a 2007 Audi A4 TDI 170 which has been remapped, I bought it as a family car to go to work and take my son to and from nursery. I don't know a lot about cars and the trader I bought it from has completely misled me. It turns out the car has a remap on it, I don't need the speed or really desire it, should i have it taken off and how easy is it to get done?

All depends on the programming of the remap. However, you can tell the trader who sold it to you that he misled you and if he does not have the mapping returned to standard by an Audi dealer you wish to reject the car for a full cash refund. If the remap is not declared to your insurer, your car is not insured for any more than third party risks.
