330d 3.0 M Sport Auto 4dr Saloon

EXCELLENT FAST, ECONOMICAL SPORTS SALOON

This replaced a 2009 BMW 320d se. The economy is good with an average of 47 mpg (320d = 52 mpg) and that includes some hard driving on autobahns in Germany. Performance is excellent and I cannot see the point in spending more on a 335d. Despite having M Sport suspension, I find it a comfortable car and the interior space in far superior to the previous version. I would prefer a manual transmission car to an automatic but this does not seem to blunt either performance or fuel consumption. The built in Sat Nav (with automatic 'queue avoidance) is a great benefit. It has been 100% reliable (as the last one was when I sold it at 87,000 miles) and with servicing costs at a fixed £460 for the 1st 5 years, cheap to run. Would I buy another one; yes, without reservations although next time, I would get the X drive version so that I could confidently use it in the snow as well.
