Practical car with hint of luxury and potential issue for shorter-legged drivers

The car drives well, good road-holding and nice driver position. The boot space surprised us positively. The plastic interior looks a bit cheap but the screen and instruments make up for it. Can't review cost of maintenance as we only had the car for a month. This review is to make shorter drivers aware of a potential issue, I ran into: elevated to the highest position, the manually adjustable seat may make driving the car with flat shoes uncomfortable. In this position, my foots needs to be almost vertical to reach the accelerator pedal and causes uncomfortable strain. We placed a 5cm thick, very hard foam cut to shape underneath the floor mat and the problem is gone. This only occurs with manually adjusted seats. Unfortunately, our test-drive was in a Karoq Edition with electronically adjustable seats and I did not find this issue at this early stage in the decision making. The same is also the case in the Tiguan. It seems to be related to the construction of the seats.
